"On Mondays and Fridays I leave the room open for them to use for practice," she said as they walked toward the staff area. "A sign in sheet might be a good idea," she said with a nod to the other woman. Hope had been wracking her brain, trying to think of who could be behind this. Clearly, they wanted some sick attention from someone involved with the choir. But who? All they knew was that two figures were spotted around the statue. Was it two students? Two teachers? Who knew?
"Thank you for cleaning up the mess Ailee," she said, looking over toward the potions mistress. "I don't think I could have bared to see it. It just makes me ill to even think about it."

"Well, Gideon Smith is the one to thank. He cleaned up the paint. Seemed quite disconcerted about the whole thing, poor lad. I will go check on him before going to bed," Ailee assured her so that Hope did not think that she needed to do so. She squeezed the woman's arm gently, as though they were young girls again. She had once huddled somewhere with Hannah like this, watching as their entire world seemed to be coming down around them.
But not this time. This time Ailee would be one of the pillars that would keep the word from coming down, if necessary.
They quickly reached Hope's rooms. "Would you like me to come in, just in case?" She asked honestly, releasing her hold on the woman's shoulder. Just a brief sweep to make certain there were no shadows waiting for her. But Ailee didn't say that much. It was going to be hard enough for Hope to sleep without elaborations.

"He is in the choir, so I suspect it would strike a bit of fear in him for himself and his classmates," she said softly. "Thank you, Ailee. He's a good boy who has had a rough time this year, with his broom accident and the lingering effects of it." She sighed as they crossed the age line and entered the Staff Only area, feeling just a little bit safer knowing that some psycho kid wasn't going to be hiding in her quarters.
As they approached her room she looked at Ailee. "I doubt the vandals could get past the age line. It was drawn out by the Headmaster himself. But if it will make you feel better go ahead," she said as she moved to unlock her door. She twisted the handle and pushed it open, moving quickly aside so that the other woman could check for shadow people.

Ailee smiled. She could have refused but she would feel a lot better. Enzo could not say much about the shadows. They could very easily have been teachers, though it would make little sense if that was the case. Still, with people like St. Roix on the staff...
Her wand was out once Hope relaxed and when the door open, Ailee stepped through, her wand brightly lit to illuminate the room completely. She walked the perimeter, still trying to be respectful of Hope's privacy. Her eyes glazed over everything, focused on slight movements and shapes that did not match something that would be commonly found in a divorced woman's room. Finding no sign of anything, she turned back to the woman with a smile.
"I'm just feeling a little overprotective," Ailee explained apologetically before confessing sheepishly. "Maybe Mr. Smith wasn't the only one a little shook up by this." She headed for the door, willing to leave Hope to whatever sleep the woman could get before morning. "I will see you at breakfast."
