Christopher had moved to head into the potions room thinking on everything that was going on with this year. He knew that needed to work on figuring out this subject. They had allowed him here on a scholarship so that meant that had to keep his grades up. “Okay let's see if can figure this out when no one here to interrupt me.” He worked on putting his book out turning to the potions about how to work on curing boils. When working on his paper he accidentally dropped his pencil onto the floor.
Christopher moved down to pick up the pencil, but his eyes were caught on something else. There on the floor was a simple analog watch with a leather band. He moved to work on picking it up turning overseeing that on the back was something engraved. ‘There is no time. We made it up.’ He worked on picking it up and putting it in his pocket. This was a nice watch that he be sure to keep ahold of. If some chance someone came looking for it and could prove it was there then might give it back.

Normally, Bessie wouldn't mind the rain. Afterall, it was just water. But this particular morning she had spent hours washing her hair and she was not about to ruin her styling. Feeling too restless to stay in the common room, Bessie found herself roaming the halls after dinner. Humming along to an old pop song, she dragged her fingers over the cold stone walls as she turned corner after corner. The corridors were empty, most students were either still at dinner or had seeked out the warmth and comfort of the dormitories, and she soon grew bored. Wasn't a magical castle supposed to be more exciting than this? Where were the ghosts and dragons and adventures?
A head of dark blonde hair caught her eye and she stopped abruptly. Bessie recognized the boy as Christopher who was the same year as her. A bit of an odd character, but who wasn't? She started walking again, careful not to make a sound this time. With the way the tasks were constructed, she might as well take this poortunity to practice her sneaking. She kept her distance from Christopher, hiding behind statues and protruding walls when the boy turned his head.
She followed him to the potions classroom and knowing that the game was over, opened the door to reveal Christopher bent down with a watch in his hands. She let the door close behind her and looked squarely at the boy. "Is that yours?" she asked sceptically, folding her arms over her chest and raising her eyebrows.

Christopher had not even realized that someone was actually following him around the school. Plus why would they actually have a reason? There was none because he did nothing wrong but moved to work on heading into the potions classroom. When heard someone walking over, Chris worked on keeping hands in pockets to think of a lie for this one. “What if it is mine what would you do about it.”
He really had wanted to keep it for a while. It makes getting to classes easier since had been late a few times. “If you want to know though it was not mine. There no reason to leave it on the floor to get broken though.” He worked on climbing back up to sit his chair and look at his book were left it off. “I was going to keep it till found out who it belongs to. I see lost and frowns they are horrible.”

Bessie shrugged her shoulders. "I dont care what you do with it. Whosever it is I doubt they'll miss it." Had she seen that there was a discription on it, she might have reacted differently, but as it was now she just saw a nice watch that she assumed belonged to one of those bratty seniors that strutted through the halls. Bessie wouldn't cry one tear over Eris Raptis losing something precious to her.
Bored as she was, Bessie refused to take the hint when Christopher went back to his book. She took a few steps forward to read the text upside-down, leaning her elbows on the desk and resting her chin on one hand. "Catching up on homework?" she asked, simply making smalltalk.

Christopher heard that and smiled knowing that he liked that she was not going to work on telling anyone about it. He was going to have a new watch to keep with him until saw a note or something on who it belonged to. Why send it to the lost and found to just sit in a box. “Thanks, I am glad that you don’t mind me keeping it. I see a note about whose it is then that all that matters. I will work on giving it back to them.”
He sighed moving to look up from his book not sure liked all her happy go lucky personality. “Yes, I am trying to work on keeping up with homework. It is the one thing that helps me actually pass these classes.” He went to look at the book more wondering if would actually get anymore studying done with her here. “What about you? Did you have any more homework to do.”

"Yeah if someone wants it back you probably should. Unless it's Eris Raptis'. She doesn't need it back." Justice looked different depending on who it affected and that was that. A nice younger girl like Darcy would deserve to get her watch back. A spoiled senior princess did not.
Bessie shook her head. "No, I'm all done." So far she had found her homework to be quite easy and though she sometimes forgot it or simply didn't feel like doing it, it was usually done quickly once she actually got started. "Would you like me to help you?", she asked, the offer genuine. "I'm good at potions." After all, all it was was following instructions. Add two scopes of this. One pinch of that. It couldn't be more straightforward than that.

Christopher was confused by everything that was going on and shocked. “Why are you saying that some people should get it back to. Then why should not give it back to others? That seems strange since some of the ones that don’t need it might offer a reward. Plus want to make sure that it gets back to the owner but used at the same time. I have seen the lost and found it would get broke in there.”
He really did not want to get help from a fellow first year with this class. How did they know about what they are good at when only been here for like 3 months. “How did you get it all done so fast? I mean the class is one of my better. Just gotten behind on most of my classes. If you want to try and help out with the class you can?” Christopher was not really sure how he would be able to help her out with all of this.

Bessie put her hands in her pockets and leaned back against the wall, looking curiuosly at Christopher. How could it not matter whose it was? "Screw the reward.", she exclaimed. "If they can afford to give you a reward, they can afford to buy a new one." Not knowing of Christopher's background, she didn't understand why that would be something he focused on.
Bessie shrugged noncommitally. She did her homework as fast as she could, not wanting to spend more time on it than she had to. "Most of ithe answers are in the book. You just gotta find them." She stood up and took a place next to the boy, scanning the pages of the open book. "Where you at?"

Christopher was actually really shocked to hear her talking about how should screw a reward. He had not expected that at all. “They might not be able to work on buying a new one. Plus if they could by one this one might have been personal for them. If it is don’t want to keep it that not right at all.” He sighed as wanted to keep the watch and would as long as could. “The reward might be enough to get my own.”
He turned and worked on looking at her as listen to everything she was saying. “I work on studying about the potion to remove boils. It is a really simple but wants to make sure that everything is right. This potion could be dangerous if not.”

Bessie was getting ready to talk back, to say something about how karma sometimes needed a little push, but Christopher's last statement made her pause. "Oh", she said, for once at a loss for words. It hadn't occurred to her that the boy might actually need a potential reward. "Well, I hope you get a reward for it then," her hands fidgeting uncomfortably with the hem of her sweater. Maybe karma wasnät jsut for punishing people.
"Yeah, you don't want a 'Dean and Ethan situation'." Bessie shook her head at the memory. That smell had been vile. Then she laughed, and walked over to grab a used copy for herself before once again sitting down next to Christopher.

Christopher nods. “I just want to make sure that the watch does not end up getting broken. Someone I am sure is going to be missing it.” He was thinking about everything that was going on. Would this girl work on telling the teachers that he stole it to get him in trouble? There were others out there that would want to do that.
“No, I did not want that type of situation. I was more just working on writing the report. It will not take me to long. McDanna would not be happy if I did not work on doing any of the homework.” He went to show her what had already known that had not really wanted to spend time with her. “After finish, this will have it completed.” Christopher would have to work on figuring all of this out to get away.
